MEYOS submits 9 industry support proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers

The MEYOS Association has submitted a 9-point document to the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan with proposals to boost the furniture industry:

• Profit tax exemption for furniture exporters
• Extending currency control period on receivables from 180 to 360 days
• Subsidies on transport costs for exports
• Higher customs duties on Chinese imported furniture
• Expanded list of preferential raw materials
• Salary coverage for invited experts
• Support for advertising Uzbek brands abroad
• Financing for production systematization
• Faster certification procedures
