Uzbekistan cuts tariffs on 14 imported raw materials for furniture industry

Presidential Decree PP-193 dated May 27, 2025 introduced a preferential customs regime for the furniture industry. Until January 1, 2029, the customs duty rate is 1% for imports of 14 types of raw materials, hardware and accessories.

Additionally, centralized import of wood and wood materials for the furniture industry was arranged. Individual entrepreneurs are now allowed to hire up to 5 workers for furniture production.

The measure aims to reduce production costs and strengthen the competitiveness of Uzbek manufacturers in both domestic and export markets.
